Harmony in Action: Woodchase Park and The Volleyball School Foundation’s COUSINS Adventure

In the heart of the vibrant Woodchase Community, something magical happened this summer. Woodchase Park and the City of Houston joined hands with The Volleyball School Foundation, bringing the spirit of sports, camaraderie, and learning to local youngsters. As part of the new Community Outreach United in Sports and Academic Success (COUSINS) program, the Park and the foundation collaborated to create an environment where kids of all ages can come together to improve their volleyball skills, learn to work as a team and build friendships during a weekly 2-day camp in June.

Your enthusiasm and encouragement provided the foundation for a summer filled with laughter, camaraderie, and growth. From the very first day of the camp, the park echoed with the joyful sounds of children learning, playing, and making cherished memories.

COUSINS Program: Empowering Lives:

Through the COUSINS program, our dedicated team of coaches shared vital volleyball techniques, built confidence, and imparted the value of teamwork. Beyond the court, campers learned life skills that will guide them in their future endeavors. This initiative was not just about enhancing athletic abilities; it was about nurturing friendships, fostering self-assurance, and encouraging a spirit of unity.
